Oh What a Glory Night it is at Old Trafford as Robin van Persie put in a dazzling performance as Manchester United clinched their 20th top-flight title at Old Trafford with a 3-0 win over relegation strugglers Aston Villa.
Van Persie scored a hat-trick within the first 33 minutes of the match, including a goal-of-the-season contender after he latched onto a lofted Wayne Rooney pass to volley home from outside the area.
The Dutchman had been described as the 'difference' between Manchester City and United in the title race and it was fitting that the man who chose to join Sir Alex Ferguson's side rather than Roberto Mancini's last summer scored the goals that would ensure they wrested the Premier League from their cross-city rivals.
