Basketball fans did a double take when two controversial artists - Chris Brown and Spike Lee - attended the New York Knicks versus Boston Celtics game together on Easter Sunday.
The 23-year-old singer and the 56-year-old filmmaker both smiled and laughed as they sat courtside at Madison Square Garden watching the New York basketball team win 108-89.
And the Do the Right Thing director showed his obsessive team pride by donning a dapper chocolate suit and orange hat and tie.
Spike, born Shelton, is such a super-fan of the Knicks he is prominently featured in an ESPN documentary called Winning Time: Reggie Miller vs. The New York Knicks.
Brown, notorious for his brutal 2009 assault on on/off girlfriend Rihanna, will soon sound off on his feelings for the pop diva on Monday night's epsiode of Big Boy's Neighborhood on Power 106.
Breezy wore a snakeskin-accented stone-wash jean jacket over a white T-shirt, black skinny jeans, and gleaming white high-tops.
Earlier this week, the Los Angeles radio station tweeted: 'Are you still w/ @Rihanna?' @ChrisBrown: 'Uh,no-that's the short answer" just now to @BigBoy POWER 106 LA @TuneIn'
The posting, which has since been deleted, mislead many fans into thinking that the Dueces hitmaker had split with the 25-year-old singer.
However, the whole charade might have just been leading up to an elaborate April Fool's joke.
