Miley Cyrus and Snoop Lion reveal their emotional reggae collaboration Ashtrays And Heartbreaks

It is no longer a happy Party In The USA for Miley Cyrus, as the singer has left her pop princess songs behind for a new somber track with rapper Snoop Lion. The unlikely pair released their new collaborative track Ashtrays And Heartbreaks on Wednesday.


And while its title may sound like Miley is about to reveal the truth behind her rumoured relationship split, the former Disney star instead reflects on friends who have passed in a reggae - and drug reference infused - melody.

Snoop, pictured last month in Los Angeles, has recently changed his name to Snoop Lion to match his new reggae sound

The collaboration, which will feature on Snoop's new album Reincarnated, is the first of many expected from the former squeaky clean star as she prepares to release her new album.

The reggae track is kicked off by Snoop who raps: 'Tonight there's gonna be a whole lot of smoke in the air, blow it high for the ones who ain't here.'

Miley provides the song's hook alluding to the fact the smoke is not coming from normal cigarettes, but the 20-year-old is careful not to specifically mention marijuana.

Well what do you know, this may just be Miley Reincarnated...
