Jose Mourinho wants £12million a year and Frank Lampard to be offered a new deal if he is to take the Chelsea job. According to a report in The Mirror, the former Blues manager will return under those conditions, and as long as the club qualify for the Champions League.
Mourinho is said to have made enquiries about Lampard's plans for the future
Lampard and Mourinho have a great relationship but the England midfielder's contract is soon to expire. Chelsea fans have been singing the Portuguese manager's name with increasing regularity in recent weeks. Unpopular interim manager Rafa Benitez is destined to leave at the end of the season when his contract expires.
Roman Abramovich sacked Mourinho back in 2007 after a string of arguments with the man who brought two Premier League titles back to Stamford Bridge. Since then the pair have buried the hatchet and Abramovich not only wants him back, but is willing to let him spend big in the summer.
