Chris Brown Shows Up In Court Over Fight With Frank Ocean

Chris Brown, 24, was in court on Monday to find out whether he'll be prosecuted over his fight with Frank Ocean, it has been claimed.

The singers were involved in a brawl back in January after Frank was accused of blocking Chris' car in Westlake Recording Studios in LA.

Despite previous reports that the case had been closed, the Turn Up the Music singer is still under a criminal battery investigation, according to TMZ.

Although Frank, 25, did not press charges against the singer, the Los Angeles County District Attourney's Office's file is reportedly still active and the incident could be named at Chris' probation review hearing on Monday.

Chris is still on probation after he assaulted ex-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009 and is also being investigated for an alleged hit-and-run incident which took place in Beverly Hills last month.

He was reportedly never worried Frank would press charges against him after the confrontation, and the pair are said to have put their 'misunderstanding' behind them.

Chris chose a smart white suit jacket, black shirt and glasses to enter the courtroom, and appeared to hold his head down low at one point as he listened to the hearing.

KTLA reports that during his court appearance, a preliminary hearing was scheduled for July 15 into whether he has violated his probation.

The report claims that the Los Angeles Country District Attorney's Office has been unhappy with his court-ordered community service.

Chris has also been accused of giving false details after the Range Rover that he was traveling in with his former girlfriend Karrueche Tran, hit a Mercedes last month.

He has denied the allegations, saying his lawyer tried to contact the other driver but she hung up the phone.

However, while he cut a sorry figure in court, Chris tweeted a rather different message earlier that day on his Twitter account.

He wrote: 'I like being the person everyone hates. Makes life exciting,' against a picture of graffitti

Following the alleged brawl with singer Frank Ocean in February, Frank wrote on his blog that he would not be pressing charges.

He wrote: ‘As a child I thought if someone jumped me it would result in me murdering or mutilating a man.'

'But as a man I am not a killer. I'm an artist and a modern person. I'll choose sanity. No criminal charges.'

'No civil lawsuit. Forgiveness, albeit difficult, is wisdom. Peace, albeit trite, is what I want in my short life. Peace.’
