Timbaland recently took to Revolt to express his dissatisfaction with both Chris Brown and Aubrey’s use of Aaliyah’s vocals in their songs.
Aaliyah is a sensitive subject for the rapper/producer, as Timbaland actually confessed his love for her in late 2011, ten years after the horrific plane accident that prematurely took the young artist’s life.
Yesterday, Timb publicly apologized to Chris via twitter, but left Aubrey hangin.
I don’t know if this was intentional or not, but I love it. Ever since Aubrey blew up, his music has become unfathomably hard to listen to.
I haven’t heard his voice on a track without cringing since 2009 when he released his mixtape, So Far Gone. And I agree with Timb that he should not be allowed anywhere near Aaliyah’s vocals. It’s disrespectful to her, and it’s disrespectful to the music business in general.
For those of you who are confused as to who Aubrey is, he goes by the stage name “Drake.” He is the biggest b*tch in the industry and does not deserve to feature a legend like Aaliyah in his songs.
So I want to go ahead and thank Timbaland for not giving him the satisfaction of an undeserved apology.
