Attorney Shawn Holley has been retained by Kanye West to defend him in a civil lawsuit filed by Daniel Ramos, a paparazzo he had a scuffle with in July.
It was revealed that the high profile legal eagle took on the rapper's case, she filed court documents last week, claiming her client (Kanye West) acted in self-defence.
Kanye, 36, tangled with photographer Daniel Ramos on July 19 at Los Angeles International Airport after being peppered with questions.
Subsequently, Ramos announced his civil lawsuit against the star at a news conference with another high-profile attorney, Gloria Allred, in August.
The civil lawsuit accuses the rapper of assault, battery and interference with the photographer's civil rights and also seeks unspecified damages.
On Friday, Holley filed documents in court stating that, 'Daniel Ramos is not entitled to relief of any claims set forth in the complaint.'
'Daniel Ramos willfully and wrongfully caused Kanye West to reasonably believe his safety was in immediate danger,' the filing continues.
