One of the foremost record labels in Africa, Premier Records conclude plans to release the first ever video collection of the works of oldest surviving Nigerian highlife musician, Dr. Victor Abimbola Olaiya (O.O.N).
This was disclosed by the Special Project Manager of the record label, Mr. Michael Odiong.
He said, the event will herald a new sense of documentation of legends that have made their mark in African entertainment industry.
“We have worked very hard to get to where we are now, and we still intend to do more for our distinguished artistes under us. A collection of five video were chosen from some of his most favorite songs and videos as they were made to recount a story that people can relate with. The most amazing thing is that people, especially lovers of good music believed in us all these years,” he stated.
The formal launch of the collection will come up on the 20th of October at the historic Stadium hotel, Surulere, Lagos.
