Uncle Snoop Changes Name To Snoopzilla

Its another transformation for the man called Calvin Broadus AKA Snoop, as he joins a funk band called 7 Days of Funk and also changes his name in the process to Snoopzilla.

This will be the secoond time Snoop is changing his name, as he earlier changed his name to SnoopLion where he released his album Reincarnated under under the new name.


He has re-christened again, however, for yet another change in genre, forming a collective with Dâm-Funk – his new name paying tribute to legendary funk bassist Bootsy Collins who referred to himself as Bootzilla.

7 Days Of Funk will release their debut album on December 10, with Snoopzilla saying of the project: ‘We’re the babies of the Mothership. I’ve had funk influences in my music my whole career.

‘Dâm-Funk is cold. He’s keeping the funk alive and I knew I had to get down with him.’
