Beyoncé's New Album Shatters iTunes Record Hits With 828K Downloads In 3 Days

Beyoncé's new surprise self titled album is set to blow away the competition. Apple has released the numbers for BEYONCÉ the album, and they're insane.  The project sold 828,773 copies on iTunes in just its first three days.

617,000 of those downloads came from the United States.

Those numbers shatter the previous record held by Taylor Swift's Red, which sold 465,000 on iTunes in the week ending Oct. 28, 2012.

The album will be the singer's fifth consecutive disc to hit No. 1 in it's opening week
