Ice Cube & Kevin Hart's New Movie 'Ride Along' Breaks The January Box Office Record

Kevin Hart and Ice Cube, did it big with their new action-comedy "Ride Along" which is projected to bring in $47.8 million over the weekend, including Monday's Martin Luther King Jr. holiday, to take the top spot at the box office, according to Entertainment Weekly.

The numbers surpass Universal's $25 million budget for the film and breaks the January record for a box office opening.

Finishing in second place is Mark Wahlberg's film "Lone Survivor" with $23.2 million in ticket sales. Check out the remainder of the top five below.

2. Lone Survivor — $23.2 million
3. The Nut Job — $20.55 million
4. Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit — $17.2 million
5. Frozen— $12 million
