In a bid to positively contribute to the growth of ICT in the Nigerian economy, Intel Corporation trained over eighty participants with the use of Intel Galileo Board.
The intensive training workshop which lasted for two weeks took place at the Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA).
Speaking at the event, a member of Intel Education Service Corps, Wolf Witt; stated that Intel Corporation was committed to contributing to engineering and technology development at FUTA and Nigeria overall.
According to Witt, “Engineering is the process of applying that science to create technology that solves real problems and thereby makes our lives better. Two weeks is not a lot of time to learn and integrate many new software and hardware concepts, and I wish we could have shared more, but please recall the projects we saw this morning”.
In his remark, The Corporate Affairs Manager, Intel Nigeria, Mr. Babatunde Akinola; who applauded the participants for the enthusiasm demonstrated during the training period, also charged them to be innovative, by exploring the many opportunities and potentials that can be derived with the use of the Intel Galileo Board.
Climax of the event was a tour by special guests at the event of the different projects, designed by the participants. Certificates were also presented to all participants.
