They spent much of Wednesday night's American Idol episode at loggerheads, re-igniting the feud which has threatened to erupt throughout an explosive season.
But Nicki Minaj was not letting things go after her spat with arch rival Mariah Carey.
Taking exception to Mariah's dig about having more Billboard number one hits, Nicki furiously let rip at the singer via her Twitter page.
'Bwaha! Burn? She's sad i tied her record for Hot 100 entries in only 3 years of being in the game. Yep, a black female rapper.'
'What u SHOULD be doing (wit your messy ass) is asking why a woman SO successful at her age, is still so INSECURE, and bitter,' she added.
Nicki then addressed the rumours that Idol producers are considering replacing Mariah with Jennifer Lopez after allegedly being unhappy with her 'bland' critiquing.
'All dem #1s but JLo phone ringin? Lol. I guess having a personality, being a secure woman, and giving genuine critique still trumps that,' wrote Nicki.
