Family Tragedy, Daughter And Husband Kill Mother.

A two-decade family feud came to a violent end when a man shot dead the two home invaders that killed his wife and son, not knowing the assailants included his long-estranged daughter, authorities said Sunday.

Though the investigation of Friday's shootings continues, authorities said it appears Josephine and Jeffrey Ruckinger planned to murder her family at their rural central Pennsylvania home — but it remains unclear what exactly led to the deadly confrontation.

"They parked at the bottom of a long driveway, and walked up, heavily armed," said Cambria County District Attorney Kelly Callihan.

Josephine Ruckinger was armed with a sawed-off 12-gauge shotgun and her husband had a Derringer pistol and a .22-caliber semi-automatic handgun as they approached the Frew family home in Ashville, about 40 miles southwest of State College, according to investigators.

Inside Cafes And Shops Of Kenyan Massacre Mall Where 67 People Were Killed

These chilling photographs show how shops were abandoned in the aftermath of the Nairobi mall massacre which left 67 people dead and dozens more missing.

Carts full of goods were left standing in Westgate Mall as shoppers fled for their lives when jihadi terrorists rushed the building and started gunning down customers.

The photographs show how people apparently dropped bags on the ground as they made their escape, forming a disturbing portrait of the moment chaos broke out

One popular restaurant, Artcaffe, still has purses and handbags on the tables, as well as empty bottles of beer, making it look as if customers had only left for a minute.

But in other shops the floors are covered in broken glass, hinting at the violence which broke out at the mall on September 21.

The White Widow Samantha Lewthwaite

She was a “shy” girl from Buckinghamshire but the name Samantha Lewthwaite is once again being linked to a global atrocity.

The media have linked her to the Kenyan shopping centre attack.

Speculation has been fuelled by the Kenyan foreign minister who said one of the militants from the Somali-based al-Shabab group was a British woman.

And suspicion was heightened when international crime agency Interpol issued a wanted persons notice for her arrest.

But the warrant – requested by the Kenyans – relates to separate terror charges dating from 2011 and is not linked to the Nairobi siege.

There has been no confirmation of Ms. Lewthwaite’s involvement, either as an attacker, organiser or fundraiser. Al-Shabab has denied that any women were involved.

Whitehall officials continue to advise caution about reports linking her to the attack, says the BBC’s security correspondent Frank Gardner.

Abiola Was Suppose To Head The Interim Govt After The Annulment Says Babangida

Ibrahim Babangida former military  president of Nigeria has said after the annulment of the June 1993 election by his government, he wanted the late business mogul, Chief Moshood Abiola, to head the interim government.

This is contained in a book, Ibrahim Babangida: The Military, Politics and Power in Nigeria, written by Dan Agbese, editor-in-chief of the defunct Newswatch magazine. According to the book, Babangida said he contributed to the campaign fund of the late business mogul.

Babangida, in an interview, told Agbese that he had wanted to make Abiola the chairman of the Transitional Council because he believed he (Abiola) “enjoyed tremendous political goodwill. His name was a household name. He had the international contact and Nigeria too had a very good chance of having someone like him heading that organisation.”

He, however, claimed that his colleagues on the Armed Forces Ruling Council (AFRC), the country’s highest decision making body, opposed the choice of Abiola to head the council. Instead, they agreed to accept him as a member of the council.

Stop Faking Good Sex, It May Ruin Your Marriage By Funmi Akingbade

This is one to go to bed with, hope you enjoy it.

Many couples believe that when it comes to good sex, if you can’t beat them surely you can join them. They fake everything about sex from the beginning to the end. After many rounds of faking, sex becomes predictable and discarded. Some couples fight to regain the spark back and make blue films their guiding light but yet after a while they wonder; no explosions of passion. No breathy proclamations of desire, no tumultuous climax.

How can everyone in movies be having fiery, combustible sex when we barely create a spark?

Fashola Apologises To Igbos Over Deportation

Many thought there is even no need for an apology since those destitute were abandoned by the government of their state, Anambra, but Governor Babatunde Fashola is a man of peace.

Two months after deportation of some Igbo destitute by to their home state, Governor Fashola on Thursday rendered an apology to the Igbos, saying “the action of our government was misunderstood.”
“Why should people feel compelled to migrate from one place to the other? Is there one part of this country that is less endowed whether in human or natural resource? Is that the problem? Is it the case that perhaps some parts are so endowed or not adequately managed?

"The truth is that I do not have a problem with the Igbos, they know that because:
The largest herd of cattle I received during my father’s burial came from the Ndigbo. Those people who came under their many colours are not people I have a problem with, they are my kindred and my people.

Notore Chemical Industries Limited

Notore Chemical Industries Limited has blamed the poor soil fertility in Africa for persistent food insecurity in the continent, noting that African farmers are ranked among the lowest users of fertilisers in the world.

In a statement, Notore stressed that Nigerian farmers have a fertliser utilisation rate of 8 kilogrammes per hectare compared to the Food and Agriculture Organisation’s recommendation of 200 kilogrammes per hectare.

“A major reason for the low fertiliser consumption is the scarcity of fertilisers,” Notore said.

“According to the New Partnership for African Development (NEPAD), economic development in Africa must be based on increased and sustainable agricultural production. To realise this vision, African heads of states and governments developed the Comprehensive African Agricultural Development Programme (CAADP). Further to that the CAADP set a target 6 percent annual growth in agricultural production to meet the UN Millennium Development Goal (MDG) of halving poverty and hunger in the continent by 2015,” Notore added.

UK To Review £3,000 Visa Bond Plan

The British High Commissioner to Nigeria, Dr. Andrew Pocock, has said the British government is reviewing its plan to introduce a £3,000 visa bond scheme.

He also said while there were security concerns in Nigeria, they were not overwhelming in many respects and could be managed.

Pocock said this on Wednesday when he visited the Nigerian Stock Exchange to ring the closing bell, and to discuss ways in which more British companies could be encouraged to invest in the nation’s capital market.

Reports had emerged earlier this year that the British government was planning to implement a new scheme under which some visitors from some Commonwealth countries, including Nigeria, would be asked to pay a £3,000 cash bond in return for visitor visas that allowed them to stay in the UK for up to six months.
