Zach Sobiech, the teen who wrote viral YouTube hit ‘Clouds’ about cancer, dies from it at 18
Zach Sobiech, the Minnesota teenager who became an Internet sensation for a song he wrote about fighting cancer, succumbed to the disease Monday morning, He was 18.
Sobiech was just 14 when he was diagnosed with bone cancer and wrote a song called “Clouds” about saying goodbye on YouTube, it got more than 3 million clicks.
The Children's Cancer Research Fund announced Zobiech’s death on its website Monday.
"Zach was at home and at peace with those he loved most. Zach's life ended just as he lived, embraced by the love of his family, friends, grace and music,
His relatives asked that remembrances be made in the form of donations to the Zach Sobiech Osteosarcoma Foundation, which helps children with cancer.
