When the news first hit town that the Saraki’s defunct Societe Generale Bank was going to metamorphose and come back as Heritage Bank, a lot of people took it with a pinch of salt.However, as the new bank started its revalidation processes, and the Saraki family name kept creeping into the larger picture, a lot of observers started believing it was real. The words of Akinsola Akinfemiwa, chairman of the bank also convinced observers of the development.
Presently, a serious speculation is trailing the bank. The assurance given by Akinfemiwa that the financial institution would soon kick off business in earnest seems not to be coming to pass.
As it stands, those who are conversant with the kind of noise made by the bank, which prides itself as the next best thing in retail banking, are wondering why branches of the bank are not visible even in Lagos State.
